Links to Report Counterfeit or Non-Compliant Products
U.S. government agencies, online marketplaces, retailers, and certification organizations rely on reports from industry participants to identify counterfeit, non-compliant, unsafe, or otherwise unlawful products. Reporting these products helps protect consumers, supports fair competition, and assists enforcement efforts.

Federal Government Agencies

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
- e-Allegations Program – Report suspected unlawful imports, including counterfeit goods and other customs violations.
- IPR e-Recordation Program – Trademark and copyright owners can record their intellectual property rights with CBP to help identify and detain counterfeit imports.

National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center (IPR Center)
- Report IP Theft Portal – Submit reports of suspected intellectual property violations, including counterfeit products, trademark infringement, piracy, and related IP crimes.

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
- Report an Unsafe Product– For consumers and businesses to report unsafe products, product defects, safety hazards, and incidents involving consumer products.
- CPSC Business Product Safety Complaint Form– Businesses can report competitor products that may be unsafe or noncompliant with CPSC rules.

- Report deceptive or misleading advertising claims — For reporting false or deceptive advertising, marketing, and other unfair business practices.

U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)
- If the IP theft is perpetrated using the Internet or other cyber means — File a Complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (FBI).
- If the IP theft is not Internet-related — Contact Your Local FBI Office.
